UK/US Collaboration in the Crypto Space Incoming?

In recent years, crypto has moved firmly into the mainstream, especially in the UK, where 12% of adults now own or have previously owned cryptocurrency, a significant rise from just 4% in 2021. But this growth hasn’t come without its share of backlash and calls for tighter regulation.
On Tuesday (29/04/25), UK Chancellor Rachel Reeves announced plans to implement a “comprehensive regulatory regime for crypto assets.” Notably, she also revealed hopes to collaborate with the US to encourage the “responsible” use of digital assets.
This could mark a major step forward, particularly for improving security and setting clearer standards for platforms like Coinbase and Crypto.com, potentially offering greater protection for everyday users.
At Oxygenblock, we’re especially interested in how this move could support the safe and sustainable tokenization of UK property.
